Slightly bulkier armor and a few upgrades compared to the army. The Marines of the UCR have a full facemask with HUD, usually deployed as orbital shock troopers, or used in combat like moon assaults or breaching orbital stations. They are the go-to shock troopers of the UCR

I'm just now thinking of this, but, as funny as Imperial Stormtroopers looked, all covered in armor, yet falling down with one hit--George Lucas may have been ahead of his time with soldiers covered with armor, and getting their information electronically.
